I am going to give this blogging site a this a try so I can start to upload movie clips of little Mia! Unfortunately I don't have my computer- sent it off for repairs, so for now just a sweet picture of Mia. Things are great here- today is my first day "home alone" with Mia. We are both still in our pj's ;) Chad was back to work yesterday and had a nice surprise shower from his co-workers at Brookhollow. He was excited to share all of the gifts with me last night. Our thanks to everyone. Chad loved it and was definitely surprised- what a nice welcome back!
Mia had her first check-up last Thursday and was a perfect angel at the hospital from 8-2! None of the screaming she shows off with at home. We are using the pediatricians at the Memorial Hermann High Risk Infant Clinic for now- it's called "The Kids Place". We had several great recommendations in the Woodlands, but one of Mia's doctors on the 8th floor works in the clinic as well. We loved her, and since I am home for the rest of this school year we thought it would be worth the drive to have Mia see doctors that know her best. We will see how it goes... Also, had an eye exam downtown Thursday- the doctor was happy to report no signs of ROP, and that Mia will not need any more follow up exams. We do not need to visit an opthamologist until next year! Great news! Thanks for checking in! Can't wait to get a "Mia Movie" up for all to see...
Love,
Sarah
We are so happy to hear that you are getting to know each other as a family and that Mia is growing and thriving. May this be just the beginning of a wonderful life together and may you share amazing things through Mia's young eyes and learn and experience new things together. Parenting is such a remarkable experience. The maturing of a baby into childhood and older is even more remarkable and thrilling to watch. You are on your way--Enjoy the ride. We will all be tagging along to see you succeed.
