To get you in the mood for Valentine's Day!

This is the first time we played dress up and did not make a mess, or have to eat, or have a breakdown before I could get to the camera! Thanks Grandma Gayle for helping out- an extra set of hands is helpful while practicing pretty poses.

Mia and Mom had a big day today. We travelled downtown on our own for Mia's 4 month shots and 5 month checkup (her adjusted age is 7 1/2 weeks). I was sooo... nervous to go on my own, but everything worked out fine Everything checked out just fine with Mia too- her weight is up to 9lbs. 2oz. and she is 21 3/4 inches long. Since it was just us girls and we weren't in a rush, Mia enjoyed a leisurely lunch after the appointment, and then we went to visit some her doctors and nurses that worked with her during her stay in the NICU. They were super impressed with Mia's growth and good health. Chad and I are amazed by her every day, and so thankful for our sweet girl.

Hello there!

It's been a long time! Mia is doing great! We visited with the doctor Monday with some tummy trouble (which was actually Mom and Dad just worrying- Mia was just fine). We were all happy with her weight at 8lbs. 9oz.! Today is her five month "birthday." So amazing! We go back for a quick visit next Tuesday for 4 month shots and a quick checkup. This past Saturday friends threw me an amazing shower to welcome Mia home and spoil her with goodies. It was beautiful and so wonderful to see so many friends that I have not been able to visit with since Mia's arrival. I LOVED it- what a fun day. Mia stayed at home with Dad- we are still doing our very best to avoid large crowds until cold/flu season is over.

I can say without a doubt that I never thought I would love pink and bows as much as I do now. :) Dress up is fun, especially if I can get a quick picture in before a feeding fit or after feeding spit-up (has not been going in my favor lately). Check back soon for new pictures...
